The Shea has co-producing arrangements with two of Franklin County's premier community theater organizations. We are proud to have The Country Players and Arena Civic Theatre staging plays and musicals throughout the year.

The Country Players are a group of volunteers founded in 1979. They are dedicated to having fun while producing quality shows, and to fostering the involvement of all levels of developing talent in the performance, backstage, and business aspects of non-profit community theater. They are proud to be a community theater for the entire family, and to be housed at The Shea.

Arena Civic Theatre was founded in 1970 by Ann Christern, who served as its artistic director until 1980. The group is well-traveled, having performed throughout Franklin County. They are pleased to provide quality theater for and with the local communities as a resident company of The Shea. A.C.T. produces three shows annually consisting of a summer one-act play, a major spring musical, and a fall drama/comedy. A.C.T. is a member of the American Association of Community Theatre and The Community Theater Association.

New Renaissance Players is the newest troupe to the Shea! They were founded in 2010 by resident artist Kimberley Morin, and work under the guidance of the Shea Artistic Committee as a Shea dedicated, non-profit group. They are open to and encourage community participation.
Their specific purpose in performance is to raise funds for the theater's expenses. The group presents a variety of theatrical genres, both comedy and drama, from family-friendly presentations to more mature themed, adult based shows. All proceeds from their productions benefit the Shea as dictated by the full Board of Directors.
