Aesop’s
Fables II
Jim
West
Theatreworks
USA
Presentation (NY)
Tuesday,
November 15, 2011
Jim West and his company are here again
from NYC in an all-new puppet extravaganza presenting a variety
of the legendary fables of Aesop! From “The Goose that
Laid a Golden Egg” on through to Aesop’s “The Boy Who Cried
Wolf” (and many others), this large-scale puppet production
features more morals to the story, more classical music and more
silliness than ever!
The show finishes on an inspiring note with the fable
“The Stargazer” set to Beethoven’s First Symphony. In this
story, West changes the tale’s traditional elderly astronomer
into a giraffe, and uses this animal (who has the largest eyes)
as a window on the world. This show has received national
acclaim and promises to be a useful addition to your
curriculum. It is
sure to delight young and old!
